We believe that the giving of tithes and the giving of offerings are a rightful part of corporate worship. Throughout the Old Testament, the ordinary place to give the tithe was at the temple, the place of worship. Thus, the taking up of tithes and offerings are an opportunity for the local body of Christ to affirm together their faith and gratitude in response to God’s benevolence, sovereignty and sufficiency.
However, we also recognize that there are occasions when a person is not able to give during the Sunday morning service. This online transaction is not meant to detract from the ordinary giving during the worship service, but to provide an alternative method for such giving, when Sunday morning attendance is not possible.
